Jasmina Mrskovska 24
years, graduated at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Bitola, Graphic Department
- Design and Multimedia
Creativity is
the most important component in Jasmina's job. She must have it in an absolute
quantity and to demonstrate it in a proper manner. She also must know how to
have a good communications with the people who could become her clients. Have
to acquaint them, to listen to them, to meet their wishes and desires and to
transform all of those components into concrete product - something that will
make her clients recognizable on the market.
"I'm creating
the corporate identity of a company. Interpreted that would be - I am designing
the logo of the company, the name, the trademark by which it will be recognizable
on the market", says Jasmina. It is strange for her that the Macedonian companies
in the past did not pay much attention on their corporate identity.
"Things are changing now.
It is normal now, the logo of the company to be on every promotional materials,
such as memorandums, posters, brochures, visiting cards, envelopes etc. That is
how they are starting to build their quality, their brand. But, the difference
between the logo and the identity or brand of a company should be known. They
have to build their brand with a qualitative work, with gained trust among the clients,
but they must first create identity that will grow in a brand". Jasmina already have her own identity. With
her business plan, she won the third place at the Business Plan Competition
organized by BSC Bitola. She planned to open a company "IDENTIFY" that will be
occupied with creating the corporate identity of the companies.
"Creating the
corporate identity was also a subject of my diploma paper. I surveyed a lot in
that field. Practically, the first part of my business plan was my diploma
paper, the second was the exact business plan and the third, the hardest part,
was the realization".
But, after all it seems
that the realization wasn't the hardest part for Jasmina because she already
has collaboration with several companies in Macedonia. One of the greatest
projects that she has implemented is designing the corporative identity of the Industrial
zone "Zabeni" near Bitola.
"At the
presentation of my business plan, the director of Zabeni - Industrial zone
encouraged me to apply with an offer for creating their corporate identity.
I've done it and that's how I've got in the game. After that I've worked on a
project for the New Bazaar in Bitola and now I am working on designing the
corporate identity for the "Debating Club" at Faculty of Public Administration
in Bitola", says Jasmina, and she doesn't forget to mention that exactly the
Business Start Up Center is creditable for the promotion of her business and for
the realizing contacts with most of her clients.
The trainings and
workshops were a great benefit for her as well. "What I learned there is that
we have to strive more for our selves, to be more confident in ourselves and
our potentials. The good idea is always a good idea. But, if you don't strive
to realize it, you could vanish."
Jasmina is realizing her
not just in Macedonia, but also in Sweden. At the moment, she is working on design
of a tourist guide manual for Goteborg, a project for the British company
"KODUZ", which presents a big challenge for her.
"We are in a process of
negotiation for making the design for additional 10 maps or totally 50 touristic
pathways for walking around Goteborg". This summer the same company will
commence a design for making touristic maps for Ohrid also, where Jasmina will
be involved as well. "They have to be three lingual maps. Currently we are collecting
photos, other maps, and in June we will start with the production. Ohrid is
surely smaller city than Goteborg but the need from tourist maps is evident, and
not only for Ohrid, but for other cities also. Along with her work, Jasmina is
investing in her further education as well. She has already applied for Master
Studies at Goteborg University for Arts. "I am preparing myself to be a student
again in the next two years, but I will not neglect my work. I am also contacting
with some people from the USA, in search for clients outside Macedonia. I will
adapt myself to the changes, where my life will lead me".
