What should you know about outsourcing?
What is outsourcing?
Outsourcing is an activity in which one company or individual
provides services for other company, that services usually he had produced with
its own resources. Outsourcing
is a trend that is mostly spread among information technologies, but in
nowadays it is becoming more interesting for other industries also.
The Outsourcing might refer for big contracts where
one company could take care of managing of the certain resources of other big
companies, but it also refers to small contracts with including or engaging
individuals for working on some projects.
Outsourcing is a new globalization result and one of the biggest
trends that are changing world’s economy. According
to the forecasting of John C.
McCarthy, analyst in Forrester
Research Inc. at least 3.3 million intellectual working
places and salaries in amount of 136
billion USD will be
transferred until 2015 from USA to the transition countries. Western Europe
also is becoming part of this trend. Moving
forces are digitalization and Internet.
The Outsourcing enables employment of high
educated human resources that have good knowledge of foreign languages, working
with computers and modern technologies. The Outsourcing helps for straightening
and development of the local economies and Brain Drain curtailment.
Outsourcing in Macedonia
These global trends are present in
Macedonia also, but the level of attraction of outsourcing contracts is very
low than the possibilities that are offered in our country and very lower than the
level that is present in some east and central European countries, members of
the Former East block. There are many examples for attracting the outsourced
projects in IT sector for programmers, but main tendency still is migration in
western countries. That is why this
project is initiated, aimed to contribute in creating self employment
environment for the young educated people in the outsourcing field.
Project goal
The project goal is to promote
self employment through creating entrepreneurial environment for student and
unemployed at the international market for outsourced activities.
Concrete project objectives are: (1) to reduce the unemployment and (2) to curtailment Brain Drain, with promotion of the one of the leading possibilities
for attractive jobs of young educated peoples in the developing countries: process of employment migration (jobs outsourcing) from western industrialized countries.
Unemployed engineers will be
trained how to approach and how to become entrepreneurs at the international
market for outsourced activities.
The participants will be offered with practical exercises for retrieval and
arrangements of outsourced jobs via Internet.
During this project students, unemployed
and all other interested will be trained how to approach and to become
entrepreneur at the international market for outsourced
activities. Besides that the participants will have practical exercices
for finding and arrangement of outsourced jobs via Internet. Trainings
will start in May 2008.
